Utah State men’s basketball series with Wyoming postponed
The Utah State men’s basketball team lost two more games from its conference schedule Tuesday after its upcoming two-game series with Wyoming was postponed. The Mountain West Conference announced that the games scheduled for Wednesday and Friday at The Spectrum were postponed due to “health and safety concerns,” language typically used to describe positive COVID-19 diagnoses or contract tracing related to them. The conference did not specify which program prompted the postponements. The Aggies have now had three consecutive conference games postponed due to health and safety protocols related to the coronavirus. The Feb. 6 game at Fresno State was the first after the team played the Bulldogs two games prior.
In all, Utah State has had five games affected by COVID-19 this season. The first two were consecutive non-conference contests against Dixie State and Weber State. Coach Craig Smith contracted COVID-19 earlier in the season as well.
